News: 20/20 Screenwriting Contest

20/20 Announces Contest #12 Winner

The 20/20 Screenwriting Competition has announced Scott Weber as the winner of their 12th contest for his romantic comedy, @theStarlight.

Scott Weber
@theStarlight

Driven to impress Hollywood at any cost, Vicky Star, a Las Vegas film student, pretends to fall in love with a happy-go-lucky Chippendales' wannabe. Then she secretly films the budding romance and promotes it as a tell-all reality video-blog.

Her fabricated love diary, @theStarlight, becomes an overnight sensation attracting millions of viewers.

Fearing worldwide attention will alert her smitten co-star to her sham, but hell bent on cashing in on her success, she pushes toward a Fourth of July grand finale that goes horribly wrong. Her co-star's jealous girlfriend shows up and reclaims her man.

When Vicky realizes she really is in love with her faux beau and he now might be gone forever, she races through Las Vegas to an outrageous showdown in the hopes of winning him back.
