The Pulsar Sci-Fi Screenplay Contest is an international screenplay contest dedicated exclusively to Sci-Fi.

Your screenplay will be read by someone who loves Sci-Fi. With other contests, Sci-Fi scripts are often viewed in a lesser light than traditional material such as drama. At Pulsar, we love Sci-Fi!

Accepted screenplay format
All scripts must be in English and no more than 120 pages. A maximum script length of 110 pages is recommended. All scripts must be in PDF format and conform to the industry standard for spec screenplays.
Please include a title page (screenplay title, author name(s) and contact email address(s)) with your submission.
Eligibility
Professional screenwriters are ineligible.Screenplays based on an existing book/play/film or other existing material are only eligible if they are the entrant's original work and the entrant maintains copyright. The only exception to this rule relates to the Existing Series Sci-Fi TV Teleplay contest category in which case established characters, technology etc from the series can be used in your script entry.
Screenplays based on historical events are eligible provided the information is in the public domain and the entrant does not violate copyrighted material or another author's work.
Optioned work is not eligible.
A cash prize of $1000 will be awarded for the best Sci-Fi movie screenplay, $250 for the best original Sci-Fi TV pilot and $250 for the best existing series Sci-Fi TV show teleplay.
