Objective
Formerly the HBO Access Writing Fellowship, the WarnerMedia Access Writers Program has been expanded to a two-year program for entry-level narrative TV writers. The objective is to provide marginalized voices a pathway for entry into the television industry through instruction, mentorship and exposure.
At WarnerMedia, we believe in fostering long-term relationships with talent and understand that creating access takes time and commitment. For this reason, the first year focuses on honing skills in writing, pitching, personal branding and the ‘business of the business’. The second year leans into mentorship and connecting talent with potential opportunities across the enterprise.

HBO Accepts Fellowship Applications Feb. 6-13
The HBO Access Writing Fellowship provides mentorship for up to 8 diverse, emerging storytellers. Following a one-week intensive of master classes, participants are immersed in 8 months of mentoring by HBO creative executives, as each participant develops a script suitable for HBO or Cinemax.
