Categories
Objective
Personal coverage and feedback from programmers and readers on your screenplay will be available to every screenplay entrant. Cash prizes are awarded in each of three categories: Best Screenplay, Best Voice of Color Screenplay (written by or about people of color), and Best Northcoast Screenplay (set in or about northern Ohio).
Rules
An entry form and and entry fee must accompany each entry. One entry fee puts your screenplays in all the categories to which it qualifies.
Awards

Independent Pictures Seeks Filmmaking Teams and Film Treatments for Sparx in the City
As part of Flix and Sparx, an official Sparx in the City event in
Cleveland, Ohio, Independent Pictures is now accepting treatments for
films to be shot on August 15 during the next Sparx in the City
event.
Independent Pictures is requesting interested filmmaking teams to
submit, along with a summary of their filmmaking qualifications, edgy
concepts that depict urban life in Cleveland. Each team should write
a two-paragraph film treatment that could be done on one street
corner in downtown Cleveland and shot in one day–incorporating
any
activities that may be happening on the street. Call (216) 651-7315
or email OhioIndieFilmFest@juno.com to get the application emailed to
you. There is no fee to apply and artist stipends are available for
the eight teams that are chosen. The deadline for entries is July 28.
Independent Pictures is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established
in 1993. IP is the proud sponsor of the Ohio Independent Film
Festival, Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards, Film Production
Training Program, regional AIVF Salons, Fiscal Agent Sponsorship
Program, Speakers Bureau, annual Director of Photography Workshop,
