Topic: Champion Schedule

Author: jim Mercurio Posted: 09/29/10 04:44 PM

Hey Everyone,

Quarterfinalist list should be out in a couple days. Hopefully, I will get it out with the new newsletter.

I am going to aim to have the top twenty done by the end of October so they will have a month's plus notice to attend a Champion Lab. The Lab dates and a class that can be taken in place of it are below. I will offer the extra seats to the Quarterfinalists and then to the entrants for a discount.

If Moviebyters are interested in attending or even a Moviebytes-only class, let me know. I would open a section December 13 or 14 for 3-4 days. I would only need 5-6 commitments to greenlight the class. And/or I will offer Moviebyters a chance to buy empty seats after entrants have a chance to buy seats.

CLASSES PLANNED NOW

Champion Lab - Four-Day November 30 - December 3 (Tuesday - Friday)

Friday night is Awards Dinner

Champion Lab - Three-Day December 4-6 (Saturday - Monday)

A-List Immersion - Three-Day December 8-10 (Wednesday - Friday)

Sign up for announcements or my newsletter Craft & Career at championscreenwriting.com.

More soon, Jim Mercurio

I've heard interesting things about you.

Let me go grab a bag of popcorn in case this gets entertaining.

Don't forget to bring your jar of Vaseline.

Ironic the asshole would mention vaseline.

Dear Mr. Gomez,

As a new person here on Moviebytes, you are wrong in your thought we are here wasting our time.

Will any of us be seen on the silver screen - who can possibly know.

What's important to us is, yes, comraderie, helpful suggestions, contest comparisons, advice on a possible writing mistakes, and dare I say it - finding new friends.

Case in point - Irin Evers. Many of us share happy thoughts for our "friend" and many will meet for the first time shortly at Austin's event.

THAT is what we are all about. We wish Irin well, and any other member in the future who has success.

This is your last second of recognition here sir, and I would suggest no response to Dan Gomez is the best response.

You are wasting our time.

THanks, Jim. Quite a generous contest.
