Contest Winner Scores Major Script Sale

Tyler Marceca, winner of The Writer's Store Industry Insider Screenwriting Competition, has sold his script Disciple Program to Universal Studios. Mark Wahlberg is attatched to star, with Morten Tyldum signed to direct.

The script is about a man who begins an investigation into his wife's mysterious death, only to find that the mystery goes much deeper than he imagined.

Marceca wrote ten pages as part of the Writer's Store's Industry Insider Competition. The script gained additional notoriety when it was submitted to an online script review site called Script Shadow, where its exposure led to a feeding frenzy at major talent agencies, management companies and studios.

Mark Wahlberg and Steve Levinson will produce the project.
