Objective:
To promote and encourage the creation and sharing of family film product through film exhibition, professional, seminars, and engaging post-film discussions. IFFF believes it is extremely important to restate the emphasis on the celebration of the family unit and that this social unit is the single most important human dynamic that most directly influences and impacts each human being's personal odyssey through life. Any subject matter may be covered. Festival dates: MARCH 16-20, 2011.
Eligibility:
Open to anyone.
Entry Fee:
$50 feature/$25 short (by August 31, 2010); $60/$30 (by January 16, 2011); $65/$35 (by January 31, 2011).
Rules:
All screenplay entries must abide by the IFFF Mission Statement: To promote socially responsible films and screenplays that are suitable for a general audience and express a fundamental respect for the positive values of life. Any subject matter may be covered within the categories: drama, comedy, animation, and sci-fi/fantasy. (See website for complete rules.)
Awards:
Winners in this competition will receive a plaque and all the Finalists will receive Certificates at the Awards Ceremony. Screenwriters Showcase features a "professional reading" of one scene from the 2 Semi-Finalists in each category before a live audience.
