The DC Shorts Screenplay Competition (October 2012) is a very different kind of screenwriting competition. A panel of judges consisting of filmmakers, screenwriters and critics will review and provide coverage (feedback) for scripts of 15 pages or less. 5-7 finalists will be featured during ScriptDC — the region’s largest screenwriting conference — where their scripts will be read in front of a live audience — and one will walk away with $2,000 to shoot their project! The Female Eye Film Festival was established in Toronto in 2001. The 1st annual FeFF Script Development Program (open to men) took place in 2003. This two tier program is comprised of the Good To Go and Script Reading Series. Film Independent's Screenwriters Lab is an intensive five-week program running two evenings a week in Los Angeles in July and August.
