Has anyone had any luck with Brooklyn Weaver? I pitched him three of my ideas and he's not biting. I know he's a giant in the business but I have yet to get past the query letter stage with him.
thanks.
Hey, Guys,
What do you think is the standard waiting time after submitting a script? I was thinking two months, but now I'm beginning to think that without representation, it's closer to four months.
What do you think?
thanks

Hey, guys,
What is your take on posting your script at inktip.com. Do you think it's worth it.
I would love to know your thoughts.
jessie
I have used both services with different scripts. My drama, "The Puzzle" received eight requests to read it on the other hand, my romantic comedy only received three requests to read. This was two months ago. Since then, I have yet to hear back from them. Mind you, I did not submit to everyone who requested it, just the ones I thought might be reputable.
Time will tell.
I also received e-mails from script consultants.
I also might add, one production company was sonypictures.
I think it's worth it even if only a few prod. companies request it, especially if they are reputable.
All is takes is just one script in the right hands.

Hey, guys,
A friend of mine asked me to read his screenplay. I accepted but after reading the first few pages, I was not feeling it, did not find it held my interest and it was difficult to follow.
My exact words to him was "I couldn't get into it and it was hard to follow."
Well, he did not like that comment and and told me I didn't know what I was talking about, didn't know art, didn't know anything about creative expression, etc. It was bad. And to top it off, he doesn't even speak to me anymore.
I'm curious. Was I too hard on my friend of is he just SUPER sensitive?
thanks guys

Has anyone done business with the Paul Kohner agency. They requested one of my scripts.
thanks
thanks, Colin,
Did you send him one of your scripts?
I just learned of a proofreading service called Scribendi. They charge by the word, so screenplays average about $200.
A year ago, I saw an ad in Script magazine, advertising proofreading services, $100 per script. Of course, I no longer have that magazine.
Hey, guys,
Besides Scirptblaster and soyouwannasellascript, what other e-query services are out there?
thanks
Anyone ever do business with this company?

If so, feature or TV?
I heard the same thing.
I wrote a script for "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Which one did you write for?
jessie
I wrote mine is third person, just mentioned my body of work, my occupation and what I am presently working on.
I just learned of his website. Supposedly he has some credits and will submit screenplays to production companies.
He charges a reading fee and also a retainer.

Hey, guys,
Any of you ever take advantage of the Hollywood Creative Directory Online for $24.00 for seven days in lieu of purchasing the book?
Thanks, guys.
Hey, guys,
My friend placed first in the teleplay competition for Scriptapalooza and last night he received a call from Sony PIctures requesting that he write a treatment for a movie that they might want to produce.
I am so exicted for him. This could be the beginning of something really big.
Any other writers out there been asked to do a treatment for a major studio. I would love to hear about it.
jessie
Hey, guys,
What are some of the other sites to post scripts, besides inktip.com?
thanks
Anyone enter this competition, where you submit the first 20 pages of your script?
I have written both screenplays and novels and I prefer screenplays mainly because they are 100 times easier, for me anyway.
The description in a screenplay can be as simple as dark room with windows. On the other hand, in a novel, that kind of description is just too vague.
Though I find writing screenplays easier for me, i find the novel much more rewarding and nothing compares to it.
