Jim,
Why have you recorded A-List business address at 315 S. Beverly Drive, Suite 508?
Are you running your business through a third party attorney's office?
Do you have a city business license to operate at 315 S. Beverly Drive, Suite 508?
Also,
Since you (Jim Mercurio) own the company A-List Screenwriting LLC: why would you use A-List as a source reference?
Anyone can form an LLC, write their own blogs/articles and post them on the LLC website.
I can form an LLC and call it ''The Up and Coming Screenwriter, LLC.,'' create a website, then post articles on the website — ''Dan Gomez, a Latin Fury'' — saying what a great director/writer I was?
Hollywood's the dairy farm -- so why don't you give the upcoming writers a break!
.
Irin,
For some reason every time I make a new account, it quickly gets deleted. ;-)
Do you like my new name?
Thank you for nailing Expo.
Sincerely,
I Am Dan, Dan I Am
Irin,
I know -- I read your last post.
I'm waiting for Jim to respond. But he evades the question.
Jim,
Riding on the Merry-Go-Round on someone else's dime is not an ethical way to do business.
As least give the winners an opportunity to know what they're getting themselves into, and what it means ten years from now if any winner made the big leagues.
Sincerely,
I am Dan
You'll have to remember these readers are wanna-be writers -- and they're stuck working for less than minimum wage (reading scripts).
That's why it's important for people to have a second career.
Do what I do -- send them an email and tell them to F-off ;-)
Am I safe in calling Fade In -- a scam?
Because it's just my opinion!

Did anyone get a mailing?
Damn, Irin!
You won another contest on Wednesday night?
Congrats!
You have no ethics, Stephen Hoover.
But if Jim's going to give away every single seat to his contestants and the public, free and clear, Jim makes no money, everything is a donation by Jim -- then I do apologize for misunderstanding your intent, Stephen Hoover.
I am Dan, Jake Coulter, Dan I am.
I have had a few accounts deleted because my opinion differs from the Borg-Collective.
And although the intent of this place was well natured in the beginning — a few people deem it necessary to use this forum in order to scam those that are naïve in the filmmaking business.
There are only a few contests that have any meaning. Although those contests may differ from person to person, the rest of the contests are scams designed to milk the naïve and gullible.
My choice in contests: Nichols, Sundance, PAGE and Austin.
