Shore Scripts are proud to announce the winner of their 2017 Short Film Fund.

Huge congratulations to Ben Gutteridge, Winner of our 2017 Short Film Fund. Ben will be awarded $9000 to make his winning short screenplay, The Naked Man.


The Naked Man tells the tragic-comic love story of an invisible man, who's hopes of being seen again are reawakened when he meets a fascinating blind girl. Dealing with themes of obsession, loneliness and love, The Naked Man asks the question: without love, are we all invisible?

Ben is an English Writer/Director with a background in Commercials and TV Drama. He lives in Los Angeles and London and works in both English and Spanish.

We would like to mention a couple of good bits of news about Shore Scripts Short Film Fund.

Firstly, the dates have changed. We know that having to wait an age to find out whether you will receive funding or not for your short can be infuriating. That's why Shore have moved the FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE TO THE 31ST MAY!

Please note this is just for our Short Film Fund. We will announce our Winner(s) and the total fund amount on the 1st JULY.

Secondly, the lovely people at Arri Rental have kindly donated free Camera Equipment for the winning production.

Call for submissions for the 2016 Shore Scripts Screenwriting Competitions.

Shore Scripts Screenwriting Competition was set up to help emerging writers from around the world break into the industry. We have Oscar winning judges and over 70 production companies and agents on-board to read the best scripts that are entered each year.
2016’s contest will be open for submissions from the 1st March 2016.

This year, alongside our Feature and Short Script Contests, we are introducing a new TV Pilot Contest and our Short Film Fund; financing at least one of the winning Short scripts with a minimum budget of £5000. We have over £15,000 worth of cash and prizes that we are giving away to our winners.

Shore Scripts is made up of a small number of producers and script editors working in the film industry. Our goal is to discover new exciting screenwriting talent and ultimately get more great scripts made.

Previous years Writers have had their scripts Sold or Optioned by the Judges and Production Companies. A number have also gained Representation.

As well as all that, we have over £9000 in cash and prizes to giveaway.

We want to help kick start the careers of upcoming screenwriters. With the Judges, Production Companies and Agents onboard, we believe Shore Scripts is the perfect platform for a writer to get noticed.

Hi, I wanted to post to let everyone know that 2014's Shore Scripts Screenwriting Competition is open for submissions from the 1st MARCH 2014.

Shore Scripts has grown from year to year. We have over 100 Production Companies onboard to read this years top scripts. As well as that we have 21 Oscar & BAFTA winning industry Judges who will read our Winners screenplays. They can all be seen below. We are also giving away £9000+ in money and prizes to our Feature & Short Winners. All the info can be seen at http://www.shorescripts.com/
