Terry:
Congratulations!
Live long in good health.
Health note: The Australians helped a
California doctor cure, not remission, his M.S.! No American doctor can make that statement!

Grover,
I have a cousin with Multiple Sclerosis, if that's what you were talking about please post a message or give me an email where I could find out more about this. Thanks.
AND....

Thanks, Nancy, Paula, Grover, and George. It feels good to have your writing recognized and appreciated. And Australia has always been #1 on my travel-wish-list. Am very busy rewriting stuff, now.
If anyone is looking for advice, my advice is this -- read Robt McKee's "Story." Some people think it's too academic and stuffy, but I think it's sheer genius and it helped me recognize story shortcomings in my screenplays, which I am continuing to address.
Good luck to y'all. Keep writing and keep submitting.

Terry, Congrats, and have a safe and successful trip "down under"! I've heard of McKee's book. Your advice is good enough for me. I'll pick it up tomorrow. As for me, I'll keep on writing and submitting, as per your sage advice. God Bless, Randy

Terry:
Nice to hear of a friendly, helpful guy who gets a break and a trampoline to open the doors to unlimited successes.
McKee's book scared me and I quickly put it back on the book store shelf. It would take decades to learn and master the insightful material. So, big sigh,
you've challenged me to take another look at it.
My comedy is still being marketed. My thriller is under the last revision, I hope, before copyrighting it and sending out query letters.
My second cousin is in Australia, David Pipe. Even his dad doesn't have his address! Wouldn't it be a small miracle if you bumped into him (lightly, that is)?
Thanks for not forgetting the unknowns in the States.

Over the course of three years I have bought a lot of screenwriting books. And I must say that "Story" is the best book that I have ever read.
The script I wrote after I first read it, was ten times better than my previous script.
I always re-read the whole book everytime I'm about to start another writing project.
For me, it's my bible.
And I can assure you that I get no money or other consideration for my endorsement.
To me, it's that damn good.
Congrats From me Too Terry!

Dear Terry
I also want to congratulate you. I am also from Charlotte, and we have mutual acquaintances at UNCC. I was also pleased to see that an English period piece was a hit. My script addresses a royal character who lived during Anglo-Saxon times. (At least the costuming wouldn't be as expensive!)
As for STORY, our mutual friend told me about it. It's a great read and I'm madly rewriting too.
Again, you go 49er!
