Topic: Disney Fellowships...anyone heard anything?

Author: Jim Suthers Posted: 12/06/00 04:34 PM

Heard through the grapevine that they were behind by a month, but hoped to notify in November. Here we are in December and nuthin'.

According to previous entrants on Project Greenlight, they do notify both winners and non-winners -- eventually. Nobody there has heard anything either.

Well, they say misery loves company . . . shall we have a party and burn effigies of Mickey Mouse, Jim?

HEY YOU SCRIBES!!!

Guess they've been making enough to send out rejections this year?

They never sent me one for the last three years and now I've got something to add to my new cave's new bathroom wallpaper!

Wonder WHO actually read/tossed my masterpiece? Prolly, the wunderkind!!!

GOT STORIES-GETTING DEALS!!!D.G.

Maybe to make us losers feel better,... does anyone know anything about the winners? The reason I ask is because, on the Greenlight (PGL) forums, a woman said she was a former Disney fellowship winner. It sounded like she was a contestent in PGL, but she could have been a reviewer. At the time I wondered how she could have been eligible for PGL, but if she didn't have writing credits ,... she was eligible. I wondered how come her career hadn't gone further. Anyone have any stats on what happens to the Disney winners?

There's a guy/girl? posted at another site who got in who says they've been writing in television for 12 years - sounds like the competition's tough in this one.
