Are we to suppose that Jesus would stoop so low as to become an agent? Would that be sufficient to preclude him being the christ? And if he were to become an agent, would that alter the posture of agency, or would agency just consume him and his previous 'good' works? Just the possibilities of that scenario would scare the shit out of hollywood in general and agencies in particular.

My thoughts it exactly. A king can give up a throne, but can Christ give up his "crown'? I think that would be his only shot of becoming an agent.

Though I shudder at the analogy, Jesus is more of a manager than an agent. An agent seeks work for his/her client and collects 10% only if it sells. A manager seeks to develop the career of the one he/she is responsible for. Yes, Jesus is my heavenly manager and I only pay 10% (a tithe) rather than the normal 15%. And He is managing my career and my life. Do you want a good manager, D.G.? I can certainly recommend one to you.

The problem I have, is that this "manager" takes on far too many clients at once; He's never around when you want to get him on the phone; and all the pay is "back-ended," which doesn't do much for me right now. A lot of points are promised, but I have yet to hear *proof* of those clients actually seeing anything. And a lot of his clients -- not all, but a lot -- run around trying to blacken the name of other managers, or acting out-of-control, which doesn't say much for the company in general.

Somebody once said, "You don't need no steenken' agents," or managers. Being good at what you do is all that counts, and not hurting anyone else's career (helping others when you can is even better); and eventually you'll find success -- one way or another.

I wear a size 13 shoe and was sick of the "Bigfoot" so I changed it to agent. It was a simple as that. I like to start debate and then blend in when the line is drawn.

if Jesus came back as an agent I would tell him to become an CIA agent and do some investigation into some of those screenwriting competitions.

It is Jesus Christ's nature to transform. Given the scenario that He comes back as a Hollywood agent, I am confident He would Transform Hollywood. But most of you, I suspect, might not like the transformation. Drama would not be characterized by how loud on character yells at the other. Sex would be within marriage between the married partners and to celebrate the glory of their union. Yes, I am sure that if He came back as an agent, the World would shake with HIs transformation of Hollywood.

I believe that He will come back "like a thief in the night", when no one expects it and in a twinkling of an eye the Christians will be gone, Left Behind. Then all that remain, the naysayers, can laugh and scoff His name to their hearts content for the seven years of Tribulation, enjoying their short, unfullfilled lives until the AntiChrist and his followers are destroyed in a huge battle. Sounds like the story for a screenplay but its already been done. No, D.G., you are not the AntiChrist.

Are you referring to the 'rapture' and the so-called 'armageddon'? Do you know what 'armageddon means? (Hint: it's Greek) It was coined in the 'biblical' days and refers to only ONE place (not world-wide, as some people would have you and I believe) ...that one place is/was Megido, a small city near the Dead Sea, (I think) That is where a handful of JEWISH zealots held sway. The armageddon has already happened, at that place, and by the Roman army. As far as the 'rapture' goes, that is a personal enlightenment.

You of all should know that the word "rapture" never appears in Scripture.

There has been historical occurances where different battles were fought in the same place at different times. The previous conflict at a specific site does not preclude the possibility of a future battle at the same location.
