Dear Applicant,
First of all, we would like to thank you for your trust in the cause.
We need someone who has relation or contact with an american movie producer.
The job would be selling our script.
Your assistance is required because none of the american agencies give a damn about young writers with no achievements or publicity. The movies made nowadays are not worth more than a crap. Reign of fire, Triple X, Signs, all the "great american
teen movies", no one will EVER remember them in a year. The mythos of movie culture is falling down in flames.
This is where we come in. We have written a successful science-fiction/thriller script, which's quality is approved by
hundreds of friends and movie experts, who support us and our project with their objective opinions. We want to bring back the ancient glory of "Aliens", "Terminator", "Space odyssey 2001", and we want to make our movie.
Please help us. If you do, you earn at least 50.000$, ten percent of the agreed selling price (500.000$ - minimum).
If you are interested in and have a good contact, write to: mercurion_outpost@hotmail.com
Please provide your name, address, phone/cell number, mother's maiden name, digital signature, your e-mail address,
plus a detailed info about the producer.
For answers, write to mercurion_faq@hotmail.com
With respect:

Is that "Fifty Dollars", or "Fifty Thousand Dollars"? If you meant fifty thousand, that's $50,000, not $50.000.
Also, you've come to the wrong place if you're looking for someone to pitch your idea to the industry. Everyone here is in the same boat as you; we're writers looking to start a career, not agents/producers/managers.
But check out the "Writers Wanted" section on this site, it may be of some help.
And most of us here agree with your idea that quality is better than quantity.
Good Luck.

Why is my 'alert' button flashing?
I would caution ANYone who thinks they may be able to help and make some quick $$ in simply providing information but to do so means offering up the information requested, to be cautious. Why does anyone need your mother's maiden name??? Unless you're absolutely CERTAIN this is on the up-and-up. With a SS# this same information can also be used to obtain credit cards.
As for the original poster:
The use of the internet, the purchase of a couple of issues of Hollywood Creative Directories, and downloading the FREE list of agents at the wga.org site are all good starting points for you to make some calls, send some emails and deterine what companies are best suited for your project. Also, go to your video store and look at similar genre movies and compile a list of companies who made them. Attending conferences and seminars are also godd starts, some you can even attend online, where you can meet other writers and make some contacts with professionals who may be able to assist you.

Mother's maiden name?????
Sure.
And while we're at it. I come from the continent of Africa where my father's regime fell to the hands of rebel forces. My father and I have to move $26 million U.S. and we want your help. We need American bank accounts to filter our family fortune to the U.S. You can earn up to $60, 000 U.S. if you provide me with your name, a checking or savings account number and your SSN to diabolicalplot@suckereveryminute.com.
Thanks and God Bless.

Well Istvan, hello. I did a little search on imdb.com seeing as we have the same name. I came up with 7 Istvan Szabo's, none of which, I am sure are you. Except possibly Istvan Szabo (IV), he did one movie in Budapest as an actor in 2001.
If not, perhaps you should post a bio, I for one would like to know who you are, not to mention where you're writing from. I'm assuming Hungary. Am I correct?
If you are in Hungary you might try to get a hold of Istvan Szabo (I). He is there and has 29 features to his Directing credit, as well as numerous writing, acting and producing credits.
Check out www.imdb.com, unfortunately there's no bio on him.
Have a good one.
