Thanks guys.
Some very good scripts at this festival. And potential for some good exposure, so I encourage anyone with a family friendly (all ages - not just kids) script to enter.
Nice thing is they break up into several categories. Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Animation.

Thanks to Barb and Carol for their warm and generous support.
I met Carol at the festival, hung out and learned that she is a two time winner in past contests. So way to Carol.
And to Barb who has given so generously of her time, expertise and knowledge. So much of my success can be traced to her reviews.
So thanks, guys.

Peter & "Digby" have done it again - huge congrats for your 2nd place win in Red Inkworks!! This is a family ANIMATION feature script and proving it can more than hold its own against the dramas, rom-coms, thrillers, horror specs, etc. etc.
Peter - give me a shout-out which comps you are entering "Digby" in and it'll save me entry fees!!
I'm proud of you, friend!

P.S. I just remembered that Peter WON this comp last year with another steller script "Grim Gets a Life"
Really now, Peter...give the rest of us midnight oil-burners a fighting chance here!
Great accomplishments - couldn't be happier for you.

Yeah, congratulations, Peter! But keep looking over your shoulder. I didn't win this time, but my script, "South of the Border" did place in the Top 50.

Thanks, Jean, Barb and Earl, for the kind words of encouragement.
What Jean didn't mention is her 22nd place with her new coming-of-age script Serena's Thunder.
Congrats to you too Earl. RedInkworks is a good contest with experienced readers and good notes. Placing inthe Top 50 is an accomplishment, so keep up the good work.
Once we allget up there, there really isn't a lot of difference so my take on it is there are a lot of very good scripts and so much is subjective.
So thanks for the congrats and congrats bacdk at ya.
P.S. It doesn't hurt having a black lab as the hero.
