Topic: Barb's Extreme Screenwriting comp is open!

Author: Jean Hunter Posted: 01/30/09 03:01 PM

Barb's 5th annual Extreme Screenwriting contest is open!

There's some great prizes this year and feedback is provided to every entry.

In addition to the above, the Grand Prize winner as well as the four Category winners will be promoted to 55 production companies, managers, agents and actors who have signed up to receive info on these winners.

Barb's Contest Special--purchase a Standard Review and get a free contest entry. First 25 only.

Good luck everybody!

Just want to give a shout-out for Barb's Extreme Screenwriting Contest.

Every entry receives excellent feedback which is worth more than the entry price.

Her readers are tops and well repected. No interns, craigslisters -- just very experienced. Not that many contests can deliver this kind of quality.

Another aspect of the coverage is an assessment of commerical prospects. This is an invaluable asset. Is my script marketable?

I'll be entering and urge anyone who wishes a quality read to the end of the script (not just a first ten page skim) with good coverage comments to enter as well.

Good luck everyone.

I use Barb's service for comments on my scripts and have done well in her previous contests but in the contest she does not read her client's scripts so everybody gets a fair shake.

Can't ask for more than that.

Ditto on everything Jean and Peter said. Barb runs an terrific contest. I was fortunate enough to win a couple years back. Not only did I sign with a WGA agent as a result, it's been a very helpful addition to my resume. I find it to be the least subjective of any contest I've entered. Very professionally run.
