THE REPORTS ARE IN ON "SKIN JOB"
BLUECAT - SCREENPLAY COMPETITION
This is a great thriller. Very engaging, very believable and very well written. A definite page-turner. The plot is well thought out and more importantly, your characters belong in this story. The pacing is excellent and the action is tight. Using the biker lifestyle as a backdrop to the story was an excellent choice and provides Woolf room to rebel while still remaining committed to the societal rules which govern us all.
Your characters really jump off the page, especially Woolf and Colefax. Woolf is very likable ex-officer, and Colefax, his old crony is revealed to be a great villain. Each represents the good and evil in all of us - you,ve done a wonderful job serving both sides of the human condition.
Your ancillary characters, Caz, Roger and Dave are well thought out and organic to the story. They all serve a purpose in Woolfs life and propel the story forward. Each has a unique voice and never once did I find the dialogue to be interchangeable between these characters.
The mystery of the Mandala holds the hold piece together and your twist at the end of the relic never having left the bank was top notch. You set this up very well. I also liked the fact Woolf solved the mystery after all. No loose ends. Well written.
All in all I found SKIN JOB to be an excellent script, well written, intriguing and suspenseful. I would love to see this on the big screen one day.
WHAT I THINK NEEDS WORK&
I wouldn't change a thing. I really think you have a winner here. The plot is engaging, the world they inhabit is unique and the execution of the story is top notch. Very well done.
