For the Love of Beirut

A Lebanese boy, born in Texas, returns to Beirut and experiences the horrors of war from the conflicts in the region throughout the 1970's and 1980's. Eventually returning to the United States, his memories never leave him, nor does his love for his people. Based on the true story of Samuel Eloud.

Author Bio: Michael Gibrall is an Emmy Award Winner for his work on the 1997 NFL Draft, and was nominated in 1998. He also won a Capital Emmy for a newscast he directed in 2011, and in 2013 won a Gold Remi Award at WorldFest Houston for his romantic dramedy feature film "Available," which screened at the festival.

Michael has multiple best feature screenplay festival awards to his credit, including a win for Best Action/Adventure Feature Screenplay at the 2017 Nashville Film Festival (Academy Qualifier.) He was named a screenwriting judge for the Eerie Horror Fest in 2012, listed in MovieMaker Magazine as one of the "Top 13 Horror Festivals to 'Die' For."

Currently Michael is a candidate to be inducted into the International Independent Filmmakers Hall of Fame, and will be listed in the upcoming Del Weston book, "Top 50 Writers in the World."
