Author Bio: In addition to ODE TO FREEDOM, Coles has co-written two plays: PAUL ROBESON IN BERLIN (given a staged reading by the Robey Theater Company in 2014) and AN AMERICAN CONTRALTO (given a staged reading by the National Black Theater Festival, 2013, and the DC Black Theater Festival, 2014). Coles is currently working on his second feature-length screenplay, SUBPRIME, to be completed in 2016.
