Q: What's the title of the script you entered in this contest, and what's it about?A: Gross-out humor comes of age in 30 THINGS TO DO BY 30.
To win the girl that he's always loved AND to prove himself in the world of grown-ups, a 29-year old slacker races to complete a list of 30-outrageous tasks before his 30th birthday, which is just three days away.
A: It seemed like a easy contest to enter. Simply entering the logline is a quick way to get a reaction.
I've entered this into several contests. I've made it to the finals of the Screenplay Festival...semi-finals of the AAA contest...and quarterfinals of the PAGE contest.
A: I didn't really hear back from anyone. Only found out that I won by checking their website.
Q: Were you given any feedback on your script? If so, did you find the feedback helpful?A: Nope. No feedback yet.
Q: Has your success in this contest helped you market your script? Were you contacted by any agents, managers or producers?A: Nope. Nada.
Q: What's your background? Have you written any other screenplays or television scripts?A: LA Native, former intern for a well-known producer, tape-vault librarian-turned news writer for a local TV station.
"ERNESTO'S BLACK CONVERTIBLE" won the Oshun55 short screenplay contest.
My TV Pilot, "NEWS AT 10" won the grand prize for American Accolades. It also made it to FINALS of the PAGE, SCRIPTAPOLOZZA, and SCREENWRITER'S DIG.
