The Odyssey of John Buchanan

When a Scottish soldier loses his father in the Battle of Culloden, he rushes home only to see his wife and mother slain by British soldiers. John Buchanan is captured and must not only escape his captors but fight against his eventual banishment to the British Colonies and escape his life as an indentured servant on a tobacco plantation in Maryland.
