Q: What's the title of the script you entered in this contest, and what's it about?

A: ASSUMPTION is a drama about a musical genius who acquires the unique abilitiy to translate literature into music.

Q: What made you enter this particular contest? Have you entered any other contests with this script? If so, how did you do?

A: This script has done moderately well in other contests, most notably placing as a Finalist in the 2002 Nicholl Fellowships.

Q: Were you satisfied with the adminstration of the contest? Did they meet their deadlines? Did you receive all the awards that were promised?

A: All deadlines were met and awards were received promptly.

Q: Were you given any feedback on your script? If so, did you find the feedback helpful?

A: No feedback given.

Q: Has your success in this contest helped you market your script? Were you contacted by any agents, managers or producers?

A: I was contacted by the sponsor of that particular Open Door contest and maybe a few others.

Q: What's your background? Have you written any other screenplays or television scripts?

A: I've studied film and theatre as an undergrad and recently received my MFA from California Institute of the Arts. I've written quite a few screenplays.

Q: Do you live in Los Angeles? If not, do you have any plans to move there?

A: Planning on moving back to LA very soon.

Q: What's next? Are you working on a new script?

A: What's next is what is always next: more damn writing.
