THE MARTYR was a top five finalist. The Screamfest staff was very active and introduced me to industry professionals. I entered Screamfest again the following year with a different script and was again a finalist.
Q: Were you satisfied with the adminstration of the contest? Did they meet their deadlines? Did you receive all the awards that were promised?A: The administration delivered everything they said they would. Additionally, they worked very hard to promote my script THE MARTYR to industry professionals.
Q: Were you given any feedback on your script? If so, did you find the feedback helpful?A: I received feedback from this contest that helped me improve the script and become a better writer.
Q: Has your success in this contest helped you market your script? Were you contacted by any agents, managers or producers?A: I have had several industry meetings regarding my script because of my placement in Screamfest.
Q: What's your background? Have you written any other screenplays or television scripts?A: I have written several screenplays. I am still awaiting my big break, but Screamfest took me to a new level.
Q: Do you live in Los Angeles? If not, do you have any plans to move there?A: I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I don't plan to move. I can be in Los Angeles in several hours with little notice.
