Q: What's the title of the script you entered in this contest, and what's it about?

A: 1000 - The Sword In The Stone Series (Episode #1: The Druid, The Sword And The Raven).

Screenplay and Novel by GUIDO MARIA GIORDANO

The story of the genuine sword in the stone, set in Italy between the year 1000 and the year 1180. An adventurous and exciting journey through medieval Italy.

Q: What made you enter this particular contest? Have you entered any other contests with this script? If so, how did you do?

A: I liked the Judging Criteria, as well as the Judging Process.

I entered other contests, with the following results:

Q: Were you satisfied with the administration of the contest? Did they meet their deadlines? Did you receive all the awards that were promised?

A: Yes, fully satisfied. Deadlines met in time.

Q: How long did it take you to write the script? Did you write an outline beforehand? How many drafts did you write?

A: I spent about 30 years to write my first novel "1000 - Il Druido, la Spada e il Corvo", plus five years to learn and practice the scriptwriting techniques.

Up to now, I have written a dozen drafts.

Q: What kind of software did you use to write the script, if any? What other kinds of writing software do you use?

A: Final Draft 10.

Q: Do you write every day? How many hours per day?

A: Not every day. Just two/three times a week.

Between two and five hours a day.

Q: Do you ever get writer's block? If so, how do you deal with that?

A: Yes, sometimes.

I have to stop writing, trying to clean my mind with relaxing open air activities. Also, watching a good classic movie on TV.

Q: What's your background? Have you written any other screenplays or television scripts?

A: No. First time.

Q: Do you live in Los Angeles? If not, do you have any plans to move there?

A: I live in Italy. However, I have good friends in Los Angeles.

Q: What's next? Are you working on a new script?

A: Yes, I am drafting Episodes #2 and #3 of my trilogy.
