We actively push the Semifinalists, Finalists, Runners-Up and Winners for a full year with the intention of creating opportunities for the writers. We are a hands on competition because we feel it is important to continue supporting the top scripts beyond the cash and prizes.
We are proud to present the competition with Write Brothers, a company that not only provides the necessary tools for writing but is an advocate and true supporter of emerging writers.
Also, we are supported by the Writers Guild of America west and the Writers Guild of Canada.

Rebecca Schecter, President of the Writers’ Guild of Canada officially announced that the Guild will support Scriptapalooza – America’s most highly respected and recognized screenwriting competition. “Over the years, many Canadian screenwriters have taken part in Scriptapalooza,” says Schechter, “and it’s a great way for novice writers to hone their skills and get the chance to have their scripts read by producers.”
"Already supported by the Writers Guild of America, west...this just validates how hard we work for our writers," says Scriptapalooza President Mark Andrushko.
Scriptapalooza was founded in 1998, and born out of a desire to provide legitimate opportunities for writers which, nine years later, has morphed into a screenplay competition that has grown to be one of the world’s most well-respected and recognized screenwriting competitions.
The Ninth Annual Scriptapalooza Competition is currently accepting scripts through April 13, 2007
