Objective

HollyShorts Film Festival (HSFF) is an annual Academy Qualifying short film festival showcasing the best and brightest short films and short screenplays from around the globe. The festival showcases the top short films produced 40 minutes or less and is looking for the best short screenplays 30 pages or less.

Rules

If selected, I hereby grant permission to produce and screen the above mentioned as part of the HollyShorts Screenplay Contest. In addition, proceeds made by HollyShorts will go to HollyShorts, selected charities and sponsors. Submission information and screenplays will be utilized solely for the purpose of helping the selected parties advance their careers by showcasing the work to industry peers and executives.

Awards

Quarter finalists (top 50) and Semi Finalists (top 25 screenplays) get an all access pass to the HollyShorts Film Festival and are invited to the awards event where we will announce the top 3 Finalists and Grand Prize winner. Final Draft Software to the winners, and ISA will award a finalist with a prize. Grand Prize first place screenplay winning a Seattle Film Summit and abundant productions deal to get produced by HollyShorts, with the completed film screening in the festival.

HollyShorts Film Fest Names Screenplay Selections

Official Selections have been announced for the 6th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival, part of the 15th annual HollyShorts Film Festival (August 8-17th, 2019).

Semifinalists and Finalists will be announced during the festival and the top 3 screenplays will be announced/awarded at the HollyShorts Awards Ceremony on August 17th, with the winning script receiving a $10,000 production deal courtesy of Seattle Film Summit and Abundant productions, and Final Draft software awarded to the top 3 along with the ISA award prize.

The completed shorts will screen at the Academy Qualifying 2020 HollyShorts Film Festival at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres.
