The Nashville Film Festival Screenwriting Competition leverages one of the oldest and largest film festivals in the U.S. Each year, NashFilm draws hundreds of filmmakers, musicians and industry to ten days of films, panels, red carpet events, live music showcases and parties. NashFilm is an Academy® Award Qualifying Festival in three short film categories.
For screenwriters, NashFilm offers 8 categories in feature, short and teleplay lengths with both cash and prizes including the fact that all semifinalists and finalists win festival passes! That’s not a discount on a pass but the whole pass.

Lisa Gold's The Secret of Shangri-La has been named the Grand Prize Winning Feature Screenplay Winner of the 2017 Nashville Film Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. Raj Trivedi's Del Rio, Texas was named the Short Screenplay Winner.
The Nashville Film Festival has named the 54 Finalists selected for their 4th annual Screenwriting Competition. Finalists were selected from over 1,300 submissions from all over the world.
The Nashville film Festival has announced the winners of the 2015 Screenwriting Competition. The competition garnered more than 1,350 submissions from all over the world. Finalists and semi-finalists won all-festival passes to attend the festival, network with filmmakers and industry, and attend educational panels and presentations.
The Nashville Film Festival Screenplay Competition has announced their Feature Screenplay, Short Screenplay, TV Script Contest Finalists.
The Nashville Film Festival has announced the finalists for its inaugural Screenwriting Competition. The 76 finalists represent the best of 1,511 entries from all over the world. Winners will be announced at the Nashville Film Festival Awards Ceremony on April 24th.
