Objective:
To introduce writers to the decision makers of traditional broadcast television, the cable market, and multi-media outlets. Competition winners will have their material read by experienced producers and agents in L.A. and N.Y.

Eligibility:
Open to all writers 18 and over.
Entry Fee:
$40 by 8/28/2010 (early); $45 by 9/25/2010 (regular); $50 by 10/23/2010 (late).  wsPro $5 Discount 
Rules:
Work must be original material of the author(s), and must not be sold or optioned at time of submission.

Multiple entries may be submitted by author(s).

Author(s) must sign entry form for eligibility.

Format and bind your script according to industry standards.

There are two categories:

Can you please change this guideline to read: Spec scripts (for a show already in existence) of half-hour or one hour length, comedies or dramas (The Office, CSI, etc.)

Pilots and MOW (Movie of the Week). Pilots for comedies or dramas may be up to two hours in length. MOW: please follow standard MOW format. Sorry, we are not accepting mini-series at this time.

Register your script with the WGA or Library of Congress.

Be sure to make a copy of your script before you mail it. Scripts will not be returned.

Acclaim Film & TV Announces Winners

Phil Ferriere's thriller SILENT KILLER took top honors in the Acclaim screenplay competition, while 205 DONOVAN PLACE by V.J. Boyd won the Acclaim TV script contest in the pilot/MOW category. Brett Seamans's "Hello, My Name Is: Crazy," a 30 ROCK spec, won the TV spec script category.
