What a great couple of weeks to be a writer!!!
First, I get a gig to write a Political Sci-fi Horror for a Production company in England...this is going to be so freakin cool, the Director on the Project is amazing and really open to what I do with the story.
Then, I find out that one of my Sci-fi Shorts on Inktip is going to be part of a TV Pilot which is being pitched to Fox and they are looking at some of my other Shorts.
And finally, two of my Horror Shorts...again from Inktip.com have been acquired to be part of a big Web Series Project for next year with more projects for me to follow.
Now the kicker...a boy from Toronto is goin to Hollywood this weekend to have meetings on Monday -- was two but now it seems I have three planned to discuss the afore mentioned projects and one other...a Feature opportunity.
I'm tootin my own horn but my point is that if I can have this happen living so far away from LA, then anyone can.
Six years of hard work, listening and reading friends advice from here and other sites have brought me to this point and I thank you for that.
Frederick doesn't get the "raise the roofs" he deserves for creating Moviebytes and putting up with us whack-jobs...so thank you for that.
I've had my foot in the door for sometime and now finally a few people have opened it up and are letting me see what's in the room...
Details when I get back...if I don't get totally lost on the 405 and wind up in some part of LA I shouldn't be in.
HOLLYWOOD!!!!!!!!!

Great news, Steve. I'm sure you'll make a big hit. Do yourself a favor and get a GPS unit. It may lie to you occasionally (Right, Peter?) but it sure took a ton of stress out of my recent trip to the concrete jungle.

Yes, we demand details! We'll make it easy on you. We'll be just outside, running along, frantically waving our arms, right behind your train car. Just step to the back, open the door, and shout out your updates as your trip progresses.
Well, it does sound like you're really cooking with gas now. You've been pursuing this dream for a long time and you have a right to be excited. For the rest of us, it is a hopeful sign that talent and persistence really can pay off. Actually, I'm hoping persistence alone may also carry the day, but... congratulations!
