Good thing I didn't enter in June. I wouldn't have stood a chance.

Congratulations guys.

Author: Karen Barnett Posted: 08/04/10 12:31 AM

I second Eric's post. ;-)

Author: James Schannep Posted: 08/04/10 10:10 AM

Congrats! That's great to hear.

Author: Michael Scott Posted: 08/04/10 06:33 PM

Irin, I'm just laughing at the concept. Wish I'd have thought of it. Congrats.

Author: Irin Evers Posted: 08/04/10 08:10 PM

But it's a drama! (Thanks Michael).

Author: Ron Brassfield Posted: 08/04/10 10:04 PM

Hey, Irin, I bet the members of "Octarane" in New Jersey could play the band members; they played together in the basement in the 1980s and actually reformed last year! Now they're playing bar gigs! Anyhow, way to go! (BTW, when are you going to become a screenwriting guru?)

Author: Irin Evers Posted: 08/04/10 10:29 PM

That sounds like a documentary waiting to happen. Do you know if they're any good?

I tell my wife I'm a screenwriting guru every day, but she doesn't believe me.

Author: William Bienes Posted: 08/05/10 10:04 PM

Congratulations Irin, great news -- definitely high concept and should get many reads at the very least.

Congratulations to Stephen as well.

Author: Irin Evers Posted: 08/06/10 11:23 AM

Thanks Bill!

Author: Julia Kubik Posted: 08/06/10 01:36 PM

Congratulations Irin. Happy for you man. My second reaction was wow, glad I didn't enter in June! But, now that I think about it, it would have made for a good excuse. Hard to win against you and Hoover. Also read on Int Tip that you've signed with a manager and have an option you're considering. Hope the momentum continues for you. Continued success ...

Julie

Author: Irin Evers Posted: 08/06/10 03:59 PM

Thanks Julie. Yes, my fingers are crossed on the option. We'll see what happens...

Author: Gary Talarino Posted: 08/08/10 09:43 AM

Is anyone else still waiting on feedback from their June entry?

Author: Irin Evers Posted: 08/08/10 11:12 AM

I am. It should hopefully be coming soon.

Author: Nick Amatuzio Posted: 08/08/10 09:51 PM

Congrats to all winners in Script Savvy. I'd love to read your winning scripts. You too, Stephen Hoover since you wrote a Western. I'd love to read your winning script, `Buried South of Galatians' and naturally, you're all free to read one of mine. THANKS.

Author: Carl Savering Posted: 08/08/10 10:24 PM

Gary,

If you're still waiting, perhaps drop them a message. I recieved mine a few hours before the results were announced on the 2nd.

While I'm here, let me say for the record - kudos to Irin and Stephen. I can find some solace in the fact I lost out to you two.

Cheers.

My script is posted on Circalit.com. It's a peer review site. You can get reads from others there. Good luck!

Author: Gary Talarino Posted: 08/08/10 11:40 PM

I emailed them yesterday, and haven't heard anything back since.
