Author Bio: I am a former Master Gardener and tai chi student/assistant instructor, a current TreeKeeper (#467), mom and wife, and a veteran Chicago cop. I grew up with taiko sounding the next block over; this and the several pow-wows I've been to have all profoundly affected me. Like my main character, my husband and I have made drums; many true events from his life are worked into this script.
