"It is well written to be sure. I like your action descriptions especially... I think your dialogue was good and natural. The story also had a nice flow to it... a good movie to show at Halloween... And the whole thing was very imaginative... "

"The writer has created a vibrant, colorful story that treats as much as it tricks, climaxing with a sweet and even savory final act. The story of Shane and Greta searching for the truth of their missing parents serves as the lynchpin for the narrative, stringing along an ensemble cast of characters each with a distinctive and firm voice.
As the story progresses, the mysteries of the house as well as our lead characters unravels to reveal a satisfying trajectory. As Shane and Greta discover the truths of the house and what lies within, the writer has set the stage for a bombastic final act that absolutely pays off. As well, characters seeded at the outset of the story are never forgotten as there are no small parts. The writer has carefully crafted each character's journey throughout CAULDRON to pay off in dividends from beginning to end.
And this is where CAULDRON succeeds, as the potential for gnarly psychedelic witchcraft imagery is ripe throughout the screenplay with characters crossing paths in both gloriously deadly and devilishly magical ways. The writer fantastically wields prose to beautifully describe the world our characters inhabit, and no inch of space is left poorly detailed. As a reader, I was consistently impressed with the narrative descriptions and visual world building which charmed me from the very beginning.
The potential for CAULDRON to be a righteously wicked film is absolutely present in this draft of the script. The writer's world breathes off of the page and the possibilities are endless. The delicately constructed twists were welcomed additions, and some even caught me off guard, which of course is always exciting to read. Additionally, the allusions to Hansel and Gretel as well as other tales of witch lore is an inspired choice and serves the screenplay well.
In closing, CAULDRON is an exciting and auspicious screenplay with great potential. I would love to see where it goes from here."
