A GRUNT'S TALE
Currently considering writing this script in a novel format. The young black woman employed by a Vietnam Vet's sister helps him work through his debilitating PTSD. She is the unsung hero of the story and is rewarded with an American Bandstand style party - the prom she never got to attend!
Justine Cowan has been a writer, in various capacities, for30 years. Her first screenplay "A Grunt's Tale" was awarded Honorable Mention in the 77th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition(out of 17,000 entries). "A Grunt's Tale" was also recognized as a top winner in the SkyFest I 2008 Script Competition.
Justine's other completed screenplays include "The Octopus Charmer"(which was also recognized as a top winner in the SkyFest I 2008 Script Competition)and "Flashdrive" and "Janie Loves Bollywood".
