SPARROW

A successful black man is trying to raise his family differently than his own childhood; he and his family defeat every societal triumph every step of the way except gun violence.

PILOT SYNOPSIS: Mrs. Taylor, a schoolteacher, and her husband Mr. Taylor were going through a divorce. He had an affair with a woman who would later befriend Mrs. Taylor. The third-party woman’s child was a student at the school where Mrs. Taylor teaches. The child began to hint around about his mother and Mr. Taylor’s affair.

Mrs. Taylor has since moved on during her legal separation from Mr. Taylor and has fallen in love with a new suitor. She is now with child. Planning to live happily ever after, she continues to live her life as normal and cuts off all communication from Mr. Taylor. Though, what the child spewed were truths about Mr. Taylor’s having an affair the dates were incorrect. The child suffered a traumatic experience and repeated what he remembered just not during the times it really happened.

Mr. Taylor felt he ran out of options when trying to convince Mrs. Taylor that he did indeed commit adultery, but it was not as recent as she was told. He broke off the affair after his convincing the third-party woman that her child would ruin his marriage and if he did, he’d no longer want to continue being intimate with her in any fashion.

His attempts to come clean were too late as he had just found out that during their separation not only was Mrs. Taylor unbothered by his apologies she was expecting. She had happily moved on and had no intentions of ever getting back with Mr. Taylor. Outraged r. Taylor wrote a note and decided to hand deliver it during his homicide-suicide mission. He wanted “Til death do us part” with Mrs. Taylor and nothing or no one would get in the way of that.

Officer Keith Broderick was one of the officers who arrived on the scene. He was able to give closure and answer the question everyone wanted an answer to. “Why?” He told the other officers about the real timeframe of the adultery, who one of the children were, and why the 17 children were victims and had anything to do with the school shooting. Mr. Taylor was upset with one of the children. Unfortunately, killing the one took the lives of the others. No teachers or staff were killed. No adults. Just children, Mrs. Taylor, and her unborn child.
