Insecure thirteen-year-old Haylee stumbles on her father's affair with her mother's friend, Helen, who has moved in with the family after her home was burglarized. Author Bio: This script is adapted from my short story of the same name, which won first prize in The Writers Place fiction competition: I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English.

My writing has appeared in McSweeney's, Gawker, Hobart, Word Riot, Cimarron Review, Blunderbuss, and upcoming in Able muse. My work has been anthologized in Fiction Attic Press 2014 and Best New Writing 2011.

My short story and adapted screenplay were optioned by Brad Furman, director of The Lincoln Lawyer. In November 2014 the project was acquired by Sony for development as a series on the Sundance Channel. I will be a co-producer and a co-writer on 12 episodes.

I was hired to write the film "Murder in Fashion" which played in festivals and theaters in 2010.
