Chelsea Wayne (a 20 year old college student) and her father, John, have moved to a small town in Illinois to start fresh and allow Chelsea the opportunity of beginning her drama and theatrical studies at the Kia Institute in Centralia, just an hour away. Upon their arrival, it is soon realized that the home they are living in houses a lot more than just the two of them. When Chelsea hears of a frightening story told to her by the local mail-lady, Leona, she begins to feel the presence of an unwelcome presence there with her that obviously wants to make his presence known.

Upon their arrival, it is soon realized that the home they are living in houses a lot more than just the two of them. Drowning herself in her studies, Chelsea finds that she has become too involved with her recent study of 'The Phantom of the Opera' and feels that she is beginning to hallucinate as she begins to imagine an eery-like presence lurking within the dark. Only until she has a friend over does she realize the horrific truth behind her suspicions regarding the presence and its ability to wreak havoc on its victims.

**This is a 40 page Short that has been rated 5-Stars via the Screenwriter's Showcase Community and one that I believe could really draw attention to each scene as it visibly unfolds to deliver a frightening and suspenseful story of deceit between a father and his grown daughter. Both are determined to make their relationship work at any cost, all the while being tormented by a masked villain that dwells from within. The ironic element to this plot is that it remains questionable throughout the story as to who is actually affected via the likes of this villain and who it is that actually harbors evil, being allowed to side and even assist in the villain's evil plan.
