Categories
Objective
Personal coverage and feedback from programmers and readers on your screenplay will be available to every screenplay entrant. Cash prizes are awarded in each of three categories: Best Screenplay, Best Voice of Color Screenplay (written by or about people of color), and Best Northcoast Screenplay (set in or about northern Ohio).

An entry form and and entry fee must accompany each entry. One entry fee puts your screenplays in all the categories to which it qualifies.
Awards

Call for Entries: Ohio Indepedent Screenplay Awards
Cleveland, Ohio-Announcing the Call for Entries for the Ohio Independent
Screenplay Awards! Two awards will be presented: the Best Screenplay Award
and the Best Northcoast Screenplay Award (majority of the screenplay set in
Cleveland). Prizes include $1,000 cash, a screenplay reading at Script Mill -
the Ohio Independent Film Festival's screenplay reading program, submission to
a literary agent in Los Angeles, screenplay writing software, and a script
analysis from motion picture industry professionals.
Screenplay submissions must be postmarked by June 1, 1999; the submission fee
is $40/screenplay. The screenplays winning the Best Screenplay Award and the
Best Northcoast Screenplay Award will be announced late summer/fall of 1999.
All prizes will be awarded in conjunction with the 1999 Ohio Independent Film
Festival & Market in November.
Screenplay submission criterion includes: complete (no works-in-progress),
feature-length, original work, non-produced, non-optioned, and no constraints
on genre, content, or subject matter. A panel of motion picture industry
professionals will conduct the final round of judging.
