Objective
Working with top industry mentors, annual four-day intensive lab is designed to help participants develop film and TV projects in an intensive and supportive environment. You will learn skills and be exposed to opportunities to get your work made and seen. The four-day lab is enrolled through competitive application process. All other elements of Stowe Story Labs programming (writers' retreats, ongoing mentoring, market experiences, fiscal agency) are available by invitation only.

Submissions Open for Stowe Story Labs
Application season to the sixth-annual Stowe Story Labs is now open. The Early Bird Application Fee is $40 and application season closes on April 14.
The Non-Profit Stowe Story Labs was founded in 2013 to help top emerging screenwriters, filmmakers and creative producers get work made and seen.
The Fall Narrative Lab is the entry point to the Labs. It is held each year in Stowe, Vermont, at the storied Helen Day Art Center. The Annual Lab provides participants with four days of small group workshops with industry mentors, peer-to-peer collaborative groups, industry panels, skill and craft workshops, and business related informational sessions that explore new approaches to producing, financing, and distributing work. All applicants admitted to the Fall Lab are automatically admitted to invitation-only writers’ retreats, on-going structured mentoring, and other industry-related programs.
There are a number of fellowships to the Fall Lab, as well as limited partial scholarships to defray the cost of tuition.
During the 4-day lab, participants have an opportunity to work and socialize together in a creativity-infused, northern-Vermont setting.
