Our winners have been signed by Literary Managers as a result of entering our competition!! Now in our ninth season, Write LA's 3 winners get read by multiple Los Angeles bases Literary Managers and considered for representation.
Semifinalists receive other prizes including notebooks and free feedback from our Head Judge - respected Script Coach and author Tim Schildberger.
Write LA was built by writers, for writers. We offer all the industry access we can because we know how hard it is to get your writing in front of the people who can launch your career. Write/LA 2019 Winners to be Reviewed by Script Pipeline
Write/LA has announced that their 2019 screenwriting competition winners will be reviewed by Script Pipeline as part of their push to help top writers from all the most respected screenwriting competitions gain more industry access.
Script Pipeline's creative execs will review the three winning screenplays and consider them for additional industry circulation to their network of production companies, managers, agents, and directors.
Former Script Pipeline contest winners and finalists have sold over $7 million in specs to studios and had numerous films produced, most recently 20th Century Fox’s Stuber and breakout indie thriller The Standoff at Sparrow Creek, both released in 2019.
Currently, Script Pipeline only considers winning scripts from a select group of screenwriting competitions, such as the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival, and PAGE.
