Objective
Our Director of the Screenplay Competition is a working writer himself. We carefully select our Judges and try to assist the screenplay winners in their journey to sell their manuscripts. Exposure is half the battle. Our priority has always been the writer. Read our reviews on FilmFreeway and you'll see what past writers and filmmakers think of our competition.
We promote the winners of our competition to over 1000 media outlets worldwide and are always on the lookout for Producers looking for your genre.
Many of the award-winning screenplays and films in WILLiFEST have gone on to have theatrical releases, broadcasts on PBS and other media outlets, and to be nominated and awarded at the American Academy Awards.

Our entry fees are half off our usual rates this year due to the pandemic and economic recession. We accept projects of any completion date.
Any English-language, narrative screenplay, stage play or teleplay of any genre. Scripts must have a minimum page count of 8 pages and a maximum page count of 250.
Submissions are accepted on FilmFreeway.com and the International Screenwriter’s Association (Networkisa.org). Please review our Enter page before submitting at https://willifest.com/enter. Also, our FAQ page will answer most of your questions at https://willifest.com/faq.
Awards
Winners are announced on Saturday, September 18, 2021 on our website.
Winners receive beautiful certificates and laurels for promotional purposes.
Winning Screenplay will be featured permanently on our newly designed website and promoted through our social media platforms.
Winning Screenplay is included in a press release sent to over 1000 media outlets worldwide.
We offer First, Second and Third Place wins as well as as Finalist positions and at least five Honorable Mentions. Out of the 700 submissions we generally receive, we offer 13 or more winning positions so your odds of placing are higher than most screenplay competitions.
