Objective

Do you have a great comedy script that will make executives and audiences laugh out loud?

Whether it’s family humor, rom-coms, dark satire, or something entirely unique, we want to read it. Great comedy screenplays are among the most sought-after in the industry, opening doors when characters, plot, and humor build to a genuine comedic climax.

The Emerging Screenwriters Comedy Competition welcomes all interpretations of the genre, and winners will be shared with our mentors, partners, and industry connections for option or production consideration. Plus, the Top 10 will be considered for the ISA Development Slate.

Deadline/Entry Fees

Notification: Quarter-Finalists: April 1st; Semi-Finalists: April 23rd; Finalists: May 7th; Grand Prize Winner: May 21st.
