Awards

We don’t offer any of the usual screenplay contest smoke and mirrors… No coverage from someone being paid $10 per script (please ask Mom). No cash (please ask Grandma) or writing clinics from gurus who have never sold a screenplay (Dad?). What our winners do receive is: INDUSTRY ACCESS AND INDUSTRY READS.

Three finalists will be promoted on trackingb.com to our community of entertainment industry insiders AND will also be read by each member of our esteemed judging panel who will pick an overall winner. Five honorable mentions will also be selected to receive exposure on trackingb.com.

TrackingB Names Feature Contest Winner

Texas Poetry, by David Michael Milwee, has been named the Grand Prize Winner of the TrackingB Feature Screenplay Competition. Alessandro M. King's King of Swing and Scott Gatlin's The Stray were named runners-up.

WINNER:

TEXAS POETRY by David Michael Milwee - When a drug cartel and an FBI investigation descend on a small Texas town, all hell breaks loose as the owner of a local bar, a man who runs a trucking company, and a crooked sheriff begin to turn on each other but not everyone is who they appear to be.

FINALISTS:

KING OF SWING by Alessandro M. King - Clarinet whiz kid Benny Goodman soars from dire poverty to jazz royalty, only to risk it all to form America's first interracial band.

THE STRAY by Scott Gatlin - A has-been, former beauty queen is forced to mentor a troubled boy who desperately wants to enter a beauty pageant.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

BORDERLAND by Nathan Wilcoxen - A border patrol agent is forced into a violent battle for survival when he secretly takes in the asylum-seeking young son of a cartel drug lord who possesses evidence of a murderous conspiracy between the cartel and the border patrol agent's boss.

DTF by Daniel Gentile - As he prepares to graduate and face "the real world," an over-achieving fraternity president must fight to defend his reputation and that of his house, in the wake of a rape scandal after an out-of-control party.

ANONYMITY by Scott J Thompson - A Witness Security Marshal is on the run, protecting the only person able to identify the President's shooter - his one-night stand.

HEARTLAND by William Warren - In 1962, a beat down FAA field investigator is tapped to lead the investigation when Heartland Air Flight 11 explodes in mid air and finds himself having to prove the once unimaginable, a reality. Inspired by true events.

DICK ALLSCOCK: CELEBRITY CHEF by Anthony Petito - After a world famous, world champion egomaniac celebrity chef gets caught cheating in front of the entire world, his only shot at redemption is to team up with a young prodigy fast-food fry cook.
