Shoreline Scripts Announces Contest Winners
Murder in the Lakelands by Patrick Nash has been named the feature script winner of the Shoreline Scripts Screenplay Competition. Marie Perkins I Wish was the short script winner.

MURDER IN THE LAKELANDS by PATRICK NASH
Murder in the Lakelands is a classic noir tale of twisted love, double dealing, a sultry femme fatale and her doomed lover and the grim reality of a murder in all its horror.
2nd Place
ONCE IN ROYAL BRADFORD CITY by MATTHEW COOMBES
The relationship between a young Muslim boy who wants to sing in the choir, and a sixty-something choirmaster and recent widower who has long lost his faith.

GET ME THIS WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE by PEARSE LEHANE
1944, Los Angeles. When a fame hungry PI realises a legendary MGM mogul thinks William Shakespeare is still alive, he sets up the ultimate movie con: bringing William Shakespeare to Hollywood. Literally.

NIKI SWEET TALK MOVES by DANA MYSKOWSKI
A woman must travel against her will to the chilly northern climes of Nunavut, Canada in order to help her deceased mother’s people, as per the demands of her fathe's will. What at first appears a simple but inconvenient task nearly takes her life, while changing her perceptions of her people and the way she treats everyone, including herself.

Set in 2002, against the backdrop of post 9/11 political fervor in New York, Blast is a story of self discovery. It follows the freshman year of high school for three students, and their teacher Mr. Marino who teaches a class on activism through art. The work of the class puts them on a terrorist watch-list, which leads to deadly consequences
