Objective
The PAGE International Screenwriting Awards competition was established in the fall of 2003 by an alliance of Hollywood producers, agents, and development execs. Our goal: to discover the most exciting new scripts by up-and-coming writers from across the country and around the world.
As a result of winning the contest, many dozens of PAGE Award winners have signed with top Hollywood agents and managers, optioned and sold their winning scripts, and seen their movies and television shows produced, and the PAGE Awards competition is now widely recognized as one of the industry's top sources for new screenwriting talent, both within the Hollywood community and internationally.
One of the most frustrating things about so many screenwriting contests - both for the writers and for the judges - is that scripts of different genres are in competition with each other. Show More

Eligibility
The competition is open to all writers 18 years of age and older who have not previously earned more than $50,000 or the foreign equivalent as a screenwriter and/or television writer.Rules

$25,000 Grand Prize, PLUS Gold, Silver & Bronze prizes in all ten genre categories. Winners receive cash and gift certificates, as well as extensive publicity and industry exposure for their winning scripts. As a result of the PAGE judging process and publicity, dozens of PAGE Award winners have landed screenwriting assignments, secured representation, signed option agreements on their work, and many now have movies and television shows in production, on the air and in theaters.PAGE International

PAGE Award Winners Heating Up the Airwaves
Over the past several years, many winners of the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards competition have gone on to build highly successful careers writing for television. In the latest news:
2008 PAGE Gold Prize winner VJ Boyd, who has been on the writing staff of the FX series JUSTIFIED for the past four years, was recently promoted to the position of producer on the show. VJ wrote this season's episode "Cash Game," which aired on January 27, as well as two upcoming episodes which will air on March 10 and April 7.
2005 Silver Prize winner Janet Lin, who worked on the writing staff of the FOX series BONES for six seasons, is now a writer and producer on the new ABC series FOREVER. Janet has written two of this season's episodes thus far, "Fountain of Youth" and "Diamonds are Forever."
2013 Grand Prize winner Brooke Roberts Eikmeier is now working as a staff writer on the new CW series THE FLASH, and thus far has written three episodes of the show: "Plastique," "Flash vs. Arrow" and "The Sound and the Fury."
Both 2012 Gold Prize winner Graham Norris and 2008 Gold Prize winner Lee Arcuri have landed jobs on the writing staff of the new CW series iZOMBIE, which premieres on March 27.
2007 Silver Prize winner Bill Balas has been working as a staff writer on the hit A&E series BATES MOTEL for the past three years. He wrote an upcoming episode of the show scheduled to air on April 27.
2010 Bronze Prize winner Erin Donovan was recently hired to write an episode of the CBS series THE MENTALIST, "The Whites of his Eyes," which aired on January 21.
In addition, 2006 Silver Prize winner Sang Kyu Kim has been working as a writer and producer on 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY (FOX) and THE WALKING DEAD (AMC). Previously, Sang was a staff writer on the Starz series CRASH and the TNT series HAWTHORNE.
2009 Gold Prize winner Rob Sudduth has worked as a staff writer on the FOX series RED BAND SOCIETY, the CBS comedy THE CRAZY ONES, and NBC's THE NEW NORMAL.
And over the past few years, both 2008 Silver Prize winner Jonathan Hall and 2007 Gold Prize winner David Bishop have written multiple episodes of the BBC series DOCTORS.
