WinningScripts.com is a service developed by MovieBytes to help producers and agencies find quality material from among those scripts that have fared well in screenwriting competitions. The basic service is completely free for both writers and producers.
WinningScripts PRO is a new upgrade to the basic service that allows writers to submit extended search criteria for their listings, upload script excerpts, track hits on their listings, and much. [More Info]
Writers submit information about their projects (title, format, author, logline, genre, author biography) along with any favorable contest results. WinningScripts.com automatically categorizes and indexes the scripts and presents them to producers, agencies and other web site visitors in an easy-to-use "search engine"-like format.
No. Finalists, semifinalists, quarterfinalists, and "honorable mentions" are also welcome to submit. You can even submit "pre-" contest winning scripts!
No. In order to provide the broadest possible exposure to the scripts submitted to WinningScripts.com, agencies and producers are not required to register.
All scripts submitted to WinningScripts.com should be copyrighted and/or registered with the Writers Guild of America. Although the theft of a logline is unlikely, writers are free to submit as much or as little information as they like. If your script features an extremely unique premise, you may simply want to submit the title, author, genre, and contest results. Producers and agencies can contact you directly for additional information. (You may also want to include a compelling description of the project that does NOT reveal the premise of the story.)
The biggest difference between WinningScripts.com and other script promotion services is that WinningScripts.com is completely free for both writers and producers, and focuses primarily (though not exclusively) on the promotion of scripts that have fared well in screenwriting and television writing contests. This emphasis on pre-screened, quality projects gives the service enhanced crediblity among producers and agencies.
The basic WinningScripts.com service allows you post your logline, but not the actual script. With WinningScripts PRO, however, you can upload a script excerpt in Adobe PDF format.
With a WinningScripts PRO subscription, you can upload a script excerpt of any length, or even the entire script. Remember, however, that access to project is unrestricted. For this reason, uploading complete screenplays is not recommended.
To protect your privacy, your email address will NOT be published on WinningScripts.com. Instead, interested parties will submit a form that will send you an email privately without revealing your email address. (With WinningScripts PRO, messages to your account can be can accessed via the website, so you'll never miss a message, even if the email is caught in a spam filter, or if you forget to change your email address.)
