Warren Lane is an award winning playwright and screenwriter. Much of his work is fueled by his stormy Southern Baptist upbringing which took place in the serene Arkansas Ozarks. Lane received an MFA in Playwriting from Boston University's Creative Writing Program where his play, The Devil's Teacup, was produced at Boston Playwrights' Theatre. He was later given the Paula Vogel Playwriting Award at the prestigious Kennedy Center for his work. In further pursuit of building his storytelling skills, Lane then attended the American Film Institute where he received an MFA in Screenwriting.

At AFI, he was garnered the Hewlett-Packard Scholarship, the Bridges/Larson Grant, and the Joseph Stefano Screenwriting Award. His short thesis film, The Debt Collector, won numerous awards on the film festival circuit, including Best Adventure Short at Comic-Con IFF (San Diego). Lane lives with his lovely wife and impish twin daughters in Sherman Oaks, CA.
