Growing Old with Carolo

Carolo, an aging hair stylist and flirt, kidnaps volunteer Olaf when he and Art install her Help Alert.

The sitcom opens with Felicia having her hair cut at Carolo's beauty salon. The aging woman, who shouldn't be cutting hair, hacks most of Felicia's hair away. During this encounter, Carolo's son, Carlos, tells Felicia she should consider plastic surgery. As Felicia tries to cope with this, Doctor Steven, a handsome plastic surgeon, shows up on the hospital campus. He has an office off site, but he's trying to drum up business by using his charm. He does a price estimate for Felicia's chin augmentation, and has offered to do all sorts of different procedures on the staff at the hospital. When Carolo is brought into the hospital ER for a broken hip, he boldly compliments the elderly woman, and gives her his business card. Later, he visits her to follow up, and Al asks him to be Carolo's responder (someone who will go over when the patient presses their button). Some days later, Al sends Art and Olaf out to install Carolo's Help Alert. When the guys don't return, Al gets worried, Once he sees that the equipment was tested, however, he goes home. At night, he gets a call from Al to come over to Carolo's house. She has stuffed Olaf into her closet. He gets rescued. Both Art and Olaf refuse to ever go to that house again, even though the machine is reading a "low battery" signal. When Doctor Steven comes into the office, Al tells the doctor that since he's Carolo's responder, he needs to check up on her.
