How did you come up with your story idea?
The concept came together after watching all the episodes of Lucky Louie and throwing ideas around until we felt we had a storyline with strength.
How long did it take you to write it?
A few weeks of writing, sprinkled with meetings here and there dealing with structure and character motives. About two months altogether.
Is this the first script that you have written?
First spec of an existing show. My partners and I have completed several features and pilot episodes.
Have you entered other screenwriting competitions?
Yes, several. We constantly produce material and get it out there.
If so, have you been successful?
It's always the goal to see our names in the winners list, but this is the first time we've been given that honor.
If you could write for any TV show, which would it be?
Long live Lucky Louie! Obviously that one, because it earned us the win, but unfortunately the show is no more. Southpark, The Office, My Name is Earl and American Dad are all shows I find hilarious and would be honored to write for.
