CWA Announces 2008 Successes
The Creative World Awards (CWA) has announced recent successes for the 2008 season, which wrapped up last September:
- Inferno Entertainment is finalizing negotiations with '08 finalist George Hernandez to option his comedy, DISRUPTOR. Inferno Entertainment recently produced THE WOMEN starring Annette Bening, Eva Mendes and Jada Pinkett Smith.
- Independent production company, Kundali Entertainment recently optioned Alec Carlin's sci-fi story, THE LIST and finalists, Kirk Davis and Devin Crowley's comedy, GARY SON OF GOD.
Entries are now being accepted in the 2009 Creative World Awards competition. New this year, CWA judges will be awarding prizes in four different genre categories with a special recognition award given to the most original and compelling concept of the year. The winning screenwriters will receive cash and prizes totaling over $16,000 - including extensive publicity and industry exposure for their winning scripts.
